Cost of a UK immigration legal representative?
Hi all, I would like to know how much UK immigration lawyers unanimously charge. My fiance is from the United States and she would like to move here to the UK. I talked to one firm and they quoted me a price of lb3000 to start. Is that reasonable?

It depends on the type of visa application you are making but the average fee for permitted advice is well below lb3,000, so please do your research before proceeding next to anyone. For a fiance application the Embassy fee is lb500 and the average consultancy fee for legal warning I believe is around lb700+VAT.
It is pretty steep - i would do your home work - but why don't you contact the immigration advisory service -they offer free advise on an appointment basis and also over the phone guidance on alternate days. They have a website so it might be worth typing in the name on your browser and finding out where on earth your local office is in your area but lb3000.00 is a bit steep. Why don't you also check out the Oisc website - they are the regulating body of immigration consutants and firms and they will be capable of put you in touch with a reputable firm in your nouns. yes very reasonable ! would it be cheaper to move to the usa ?
