I live in Canada, and yes, there are profoundly of jobs here. Few are under the tables, mostly lifting, man's opening, etc starting at $12/hr. People here are friendly. A lot of diversity, hardly any racist, unlike USA, where I used to live.
Ontario is a good place to start. Vancouver, is booming so that's a second choice.

In the larger cities there are family who work "under the table" but they usually work for less than minimum wage, have no rights, no benefits and can be summarily dismissed and/or deported. It is not a position to aspire to.
