Why is it easier for a Mexican to immigrate to the US than a skilled Briton?

Well it depends how you immigrate. Many (Not all) of the Mexicans in America are here illegally (either crossed the border illegally or be here on a temporary visa and stayed when it expired), but to come here on a permit visa your chances should be matching as anyone else, if you are serious go visit the American Embassy in London or a Consulate and shift make your case and fill out the forms to come to America
Because with Mexico we are neiborgs, our past be united and our future is going to be united.
Mexican culture is weighty in the US, US culture is deep in Mexico, we hold more things in comun between Mexican than with the brits, WE ARE North AMERICANS, the BRITS are European.
50% of inmigrants to US are Mexican and 50% of development of the US is for Mexican (lands and people).
more than partly of the US visas issued go to Mexican (the same for the citizenship).
Obviously US are going to help an American country to a European country, is entirely logical.
also not forget that Mexico has millions of skilled workers, not everyone working surrounded by the field, that's very ignorant to chew over.

Skilled immigrant compete directly with the middle class for higher paying jobs, and the middle class votes and is politically influential. Hence the pressure to keep out skilled labor, though businesses are always pressuring Congress to help them eat up US wages.
Because Mexico is a neighboring country to the US while Great Briton is adjectives across the ocean.
Well it's most possible the United States has more need for unskilled workers that are willing to work for relatively little pay packet at a job no-one else wants to do, as apposed to some high skilled worker that's of late going to take some college educated American's job.

also, they are mainly not competition for high paying american jobs, they are content (well, not contented, but they settle) working jobs that americans would not do. they are the backbone of the american economy.
brits, on the other hand, are within fact competition for higher paying jobs that americans are after, and if the dismissal is high, why would they let competitors from another country in??
