Answers:
Go back to France or Romania and procure married, settle down there and live happily ever after.
Bon Chance !
You aren't married and there is nothing you can do. Also, you are not a UK citizen. If you return to France (if you are a citizen) possibly you can apply for a visa for her there.
She has to leave in the past her visa is cancelled or expires. If she has a student visa but is no longer in school, her visa is probably revoked already, so she's already within violation of immigration laws and/or visa regulations. She has to return home.
There are special rules for Romanians just now, but the rules are not as complicated as Romania is an EU country, contact the depart of immigration in the UK and ask their guidance, if all else fails apply for an EEA Family permit, as you are an EU citizen you enjoy the right to have your spouse live with you in the UK, no business what their nationality is.
The best advice I can give you is to re-post your query onto this Immigration forum www.ukresident.co.uk. own a look at the different sections and post your question in the correct sector...good luck
Hello
She cannot
She have been working Illegally
She will not get paid parenthood pay as she has not been paying national Insurance
Student visa do not licence you to work
She will be expelled
You say you pay tax, that may be but i bet she doesn't because she is on a student visa so will not know how to renew what she hasn't got
You are not married but that would only give her rights to where on earth you are from, not uk
Andy
Marry her. That will give her and the child French citizenship. As EU citizens they will afterwards be able to live in the UK.
Devide,
Although Romania is now an EU country there may be some special rules that apply so please move about and get detailed advice from your local Citizens Advice Bureau. You can find your nearest one from this site http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index.htm

Additional information: She will still be an employee of the company while she is on maternity leave. Therefore she should ask her employer to renew the application for a work grant.
