I don't blame you.
I think it's great that you want to go to the States. I'm from America and have lived surrounded by the UK for the past 2 years, and it has been a wonderful experience.

Before I answer your press, you should be aware that the term "college" does not mean the same surrounded by both countries. In the UK, the A-level courses that you take when you are 16-18 are referred to as "college." However, "college" in America is the same item as "university" (with slight differences in symantics). So college and university in the States means the 4-5 years that you attend from age 18 forwards. The years that you would spend in college in the UK are part of dignified school, which is a four year school that you would attend during GCSE and A-level years (age 14-18). Americans are lucky though since there aren't any test like GSCEs or A-levels. We just take our classes for 4 years and collect our lofty school diploma at the end. On the downside for you, that means that if you jump to the States instead of taking your A-levels, you won't have earned any qualifications. You won't hold any A-levels, and there is no US equivalent. So if you attend school in the States, you may enjoy to do A-levels when you return to the UK (if you want to go to uni).

Instead, I would recommend that you take your A levels within the UK and go to the States for uni. That would be a LOT of fun.

But to answer your question... no, you definitely would not be capable of stay there forever. It is very hard to for always move to the States. If you marry an American you could stay though :)

Besides, you should visit the States for awhile before even thinking about staying for correct. America is VERY different than the UK, and you may find that you prefer the UK after all.
The school system is different in England than within the US. The US requires 13 years of schooling prior to college. I'd suggest signing up for an exchange school program for the junior and senior year of high school. It's a great approach to "try out" the US first. Um i have a German cousin. He goes to University in Washington State. All he did be get a work/school visa to be able to do that.If you want to live and stay in America after you need to become a American citizen
