I requirement to know something nearly immigration law. What does it pocket to create you fully U.S. Citizen?
Basically my friend has a mom. The mom is also an immigrant but she however is married to a man with a U.S. Citizenship. So i want to know, is the woman legally a citizen too? if so, would that create my friend a citizen or does the mom have to get her citizenship?

1. just because you are MARRIED to a U.S. citizen, does NOT make you a citizen automatically. The singular plus to this is that you have a smaller chance of getting "deported" if your green card expires since you have a legitimate binding marriage with that person. Another plus is that when you do opt to obtain your citizenship, you will be on the top of the list as high priority. My mom and stepdad get married when I was 5.. she was born in Germany, so she be not a U.S. citizen, but he is. It took her 13 years after that to decide to get her citizenship.
2. it depends on whether your friend's mom married her biological dad or adopted. If the man is a U.S. citizen, and have a baby with a non-U.S. citizen, that child is automatically a U.S. citizen because of him. If he adopted that child, it does not automatically fashion that child a U.S. citizen.
And lots of people dont know that if a U.S. citizen and non U.S. citizen give birth to a child in another country, that child is still a U.S. citizen although it be not born on US land.
So all in adjectives, your friends mom would have to get her citizenship. I am in the finalization of obtain mine. My mom married my stepdad and although he adopted me when I was 5, I am 21 years old in a minute and just now getting this process done. It could take as long as a year from when you finalize your paperwork to gain your citizenship. FYI: the fees are now higher. The price to obtain your citizenship jump about $200 last year, so it is very pricey, (I remunerated almost 800 dollars before the price increase including lawyer fees to help next to difficult paperwork) but well worth it.
