Need give a hand next to canadian immigration process?
Hi, I'm currently applying for a Canadian Immigration through CIC's office in Singapore. At the time I was applying (Oct 2006) I be still single and not married yet. I just got married 2 months ago (Aug 2008) and what should I do roughly the application?
I've contacted the CIC office about this matter and they're asking me and my wife to complete the application form again. According to other populace, the application process took about 3-4 years and I'm in the third year of waiting. I'm afraid that if I sent the application again, it will delay my application which is already within it's third year. I have people telling me that I should finish my application and procure my PR first, then sponsor my wife's PR.
So if any of you have any experience with this issue, which way should I go for? Should I sent the application to CIC again, or should I wait for my PR after sponsor my wife?
Thank You

This is VERY important. You MUST add your wife to your application. If you do not do that, instead you get your PR visa, budge to Canada and land as a single person, you will be barred from EVER sponsoring your wife for PR. The sense is that they see it as a fraud if you do not disclose that you got married. The reason could be that some people might not disclose their spouse because of medical reason or other reasons they think might stop them from getting PR as well as perchance money because as a single person, you need to show less change. Then after you land, you produce a wife out of a hat and as a PR sponsoring a spouse, you would be exempt from medical refusals and income requirements. If they are not concrete on it, people will start doing it for various reasons and they do not want that to occur.
This has happened to other people. Do not permit it happen to you. It may delay your application a bit but at least you can shift with your wife instead of having to decide between your conjugal and your immigration.
