can get a opportunity an a place for us to live then apply for a visiting visa

After your sponsorship has be received by immigration, you can apply for a visitor visa with dual intent (that you will wait for your residency surrounded by Canada) or a temporary resident permit, whichever your embassy will rather tender you.
