Either K1 or K3, the waiting time is something like 8 months to 12 months these days, Either visa let you enter into US, but you still need to apply for the Permanent Resident after marital in case of K1, and after entering US in covering of K3.
Most of people prefer K1 because it requires less paper work.

You can bring back either of the Visas (of course rules & your background matters). However, with a fiancee visa, you own only 90 days within which time you two should get married and after he applies for ur citizenship.
On the other hand, if ur already married to him, u can come in on a spouse visa anytime after showing proof of marriage, & the certainty that he can support you.
You can go either ways, doesn't matter much!
Both work pretty much the same and neither is noticably shorter to pick up. The K-1 is about $100 more expensive but that's it.

K-1 (fiance):
- US citizen applies for I-129F
- I-129F approved and forwarded to US embassy in foreign country
- Foreign citizen is interviewed at US embassy and gets K-1 visa
- Foreign citizen arrives within US
- Couple gets married within 90 days of foreign citizen (VERY important)
- Green card application (NOT citizenship - citizenship is not before 3 years at the extraordinarily least)
- Get green card
And I won't get into the rest of the steps after getting the green card approved

K-3 (spousal) visa:
- Get married anywhere you like
- US citizen files I-130 and I-129F in USA
- I-130/I-129F approved and forwarded to US embassy contained by foreign country
- K-3 visa is delivered after interview
- Foreign citizen enters US
- Green card application, and the rest of the steps are then duplicate as for a K-1.

Again, you do NOT get citizenship upon getting married as someone else suggested in the other answers. You get a conditional green card if you've be married less than 2 years, and after 2 years you have to apply for removal of conditions to get a 10-year green card, and after 3 years of anyone married to the same person and living in the US continuously, you can apply for citizenship.
Go for the wife because otherwise you have to get the wife after marriage.
