In Portugal we have 22 to 25 working days to use as holidays days.
How many days of holidays you get surrounded by US?

We are not a socialist country! Not yet anyway... The government does not determine any holiday "entitlements", yet, and hopefully never will.
It really depends on the employer. For examples, banks, schools, and political affairs offcials get every holiday off except for halloween, where as more "blue collar" job usually get easter, fourth of july, thanksgiving, christmas, and new years. Sometimes they get a couple other holidays too, but those are the elemental one's

There are no parliament mandated vacation. Most companies give 1-2 weeks (the longer you own worked for them, the more you get). But many people in hourly job do not get any.
There's no legal minimum to the number of vacation days that a company will give you. There are 7 national holidays respectively year which you will be given off (or given time off in lieu if you are required to work on those days) but excluding that it's down to the company to decide how much time to offer.
Compared to Europe, the US has other less vacation time in most job. 2-3 weeks per year is the average, but can be as low as 3-5 days for the first few years of working with a company.
