If you could emigrate to another country, where on earth would you walk, and why would you go off your country?

I was born in The Netherlands, left at the age of 7 to live within the UK. I am now 36 and would never contemplate returning to my native country. Main reason: too much (negative reporting on) foreign folk.

id close to to visit a few countries like japan, america & finland.
but since i havent been to them all the same,i dont know if id want to move to them.
but id leave england because everyone get bad press, the goverment is corrupt, and people my age are out killing respectively other.we have stupid rules, stupid people, and a declining countryside.
I went to live in the Netherlands at 21 for two years, have been born and raised in London, England. I approaching where I am, and if anything, would probably move back to the rural countryside, maybe the Chilterns or Oxfordshire where on earth I have lived before. If I had to move countries, I would any go to Canada, but probably more likely I would do what my brother did six years ago and emigrate to Spain, he lives in Barcelona and loves it. I would move at hand because I love the Spanish (Particularly Catalan) language, people, food, culture and weather, and Barcelona and Calalonia are great. I also like the reality that it is a Christian country, and that is the reason I would leave England, I only just do not feel that it is a Christian country anymore. i'm mexican ... in my case i guess i could any move to a first world country like canada or australia or even europe and make "good money" working construction or other sturdy labor job or I would save some money and go to a cheaper country similar to argentina, costa rica, or south east asia and open up a little business and live being my own boss... dependes how do you picture yourself surrounded by a future... i could go to the Us and make 200 bucks a hours of daylight paintin houses or i could go to argentina and make 100 bucks a day working at my own tavern (for example) and live with a better quality of life than a first world country.. i've lived within the US, Amsterdam, Argentina and been all around europe, and i've noticed populace in the thirld world countries live much happier... plus, when u go to a thirld world country even though their unemployment is big they welcome u warmly and look at you as an interesting person to be next to.. they help u settle and u make friends much faster, in a few words they don't treat you resembling an "illegal alien".. they look at you as their equal like it happends in mexico beside all the immigrants from Us, europe and south america.. and in the first world countries next to so many immigration you can be a latino, african or asian with a higher teaching, and a great human being and they still look at you as the guy that cleans the floor, drives the cab or works at 7 eleven..
Italy because it seem like this country is turning into mexico and if I get released from professional baseball I can go play surrounded by Italy. Wonderful.

I came to the USA, because life was impossible within my country with the comunists
I be born in London and lived there til 6 years ago. Now at 38, i live in Cyprus. Its the best piece i ever did. There was waaaayyyyy too much crime in the UK to bring my kids up there and too much pollution. I love my vivacity here and my kids have so much freedom and are very safe here. I be born in the USA, but came to Brazil when I was 18. This is a extremely beautiful country, but too much violence and corruption among all segment of the society.
I'm thinking about returning to my country.at least I'll be among my fellow citizens.
Italy or Portugal
More sun, more relaxed attitude and a happier and healthier lifestyle i would buy my own island later show the world how to really control immigration.
i wouldnt really want to leave america. but i would go somewhere contained by europe or in soth america near the amazon and ecuador or canada. heard its nice surrounded by all those places but i would have to see it for myself. I live in USA and would probably travel and live in New Zealand.
I am sick of the politics in here and I am sick of the Iraq war.
I am an immigrant and if I were to immigrate I would budge back to my home country.
There are no CCTV camera and freedom is far far better than in UK where your privacy contained by non existent. I left my home country because the economy is too small and I found it hard to carry a decent job. I emigrated to Canada and while it is still rugged to get good jobs, I do not regret the verdict. I do not miss my home country at all.
Seeing the current path my own country is going on (USA) I would seriously consider leaving for any place that wouldn't hold a fascist takeover like what I see happening here. I would budge to Denmark, I've been before and I loved it. I would wait until New Labour be chucked out before coming back.
I've lived out of the country (in the US and Greece) but was always keen to achieve back to Blighty.

I would change the media here, though. If they report negatively on foreign folk surrounded by Holland, they do the same here but include everyone. They create an image of a dying country overrun with criminals, when the veracity is our crime rate is about average for develpoed nations, with supposedly more past the worst countries such as France, Germany and Australia higher up the list than us.
