Were slaves considered immigrant?

When slaves were brought on ships to America, were they considered immigrants? Easy best answer!
Answers:
Don't see how they would be considered immigrant. To immigrate suggests that you move to another country willingly. They were considered property- just as any other slave within any other country in the world at any given point in history.
Technically they were, but when slaves be brought over, the country was relatively new, they didn't classify people contained by terms of immigrants, migrating, etc...it was more approaching settling in a new country, immigration came roughly with the makings of ellis island inthose times in the late 1800s. Slaves be brought over to do work almost like cattle, unfortunately there is no uncomplicated way to say it, and they weren't considered even settling or migrating or anything, they were property... no because they be slaves and treated like slaves; the master might be an immigrant but the slaves were his/her property.
so....immigrant properties then?
Actually, they werent. The nation buying the slaves didnt consider them people, but tools for farming and other chores. This is how slaves werent protected by the Constitution, a loop hole yes, but a loop hole nontheless.
No they were considered property as be slaves all over the world. No; slaves were considered chattel.
