How fruitless will a deferred settlement be for my probability contained by getting a resident card?
My husband and I applied for the I-130, which is resident through marriage, we filed in February and will not hear anything until 7-9 months, according to the USICS website. I own got a deferred adjudication for theft not long, and will have two years of probation, 250 community service and 20 days in jail, does anyone know of anyone or does anyone know anything, nearly how this will affect my chances, I know for a fact I will never be able to become a citizen, but what in the order of just staying here?
Answers:
you won't be able to get your green card while on probation, moral role issues, as far as citizenship you could still be eligible after a certain time frame if you don't advance your criminal career. but if you single filed the I-130 it seems that you must have enter illegally and won't be able to adjust your status in the u.s. if this is the travel case you have bigger problems. if you have to depart to apply for your immigrant visa in your home country you will enjoy to apply for waiver of inadmissibility before you can return to the u.s., waiting time for the waiver could be from 2 months to 3 years and you will have to wait within your home country.
