Illegal immigrant married to citizens....?
soo i just read a few questions and answers and just for some clarity...
if undocumented those are married U.S. citizen and is caught by immigration they CAN (emphasis on can) be allowed to stay in the U.S. if the marriage is tested and viewed as strong and stable?
or they can apply for a visa/ green card lacking having to leave the U.S. IF the INS interviews them and sees in attendance marriage as stable and strong?
that's just how they made it seem surrounded by the question and answers
Answers:
Marriage does not make the legal.
if they are ILLEGAL, no they will be caught and deported with possibly a 10 year or lifetime ban put on them. nuptials does not guarantee a green card thankfully! call them what they are illegal, not undocumented! even if married they still enjoy to return to where they belong and apply. Report and Deport illegals!
I dont think thats entirely correct, although i would assume that in some scenario what you have constructed might be true: this is what i know about the situation
Getting married does not make them legitimate, but its a start, they have to go back to their country of hometown and apply for a pardon and a fiance visa, once thats done they come back, once here they get a green card.
Can they stay if caught i truly know for a fact that thats not true (again there may be some exemptions) but for the most part i know they dispatch them back and this is why families are always broken up and it after becomes a whole issue. Leave the US immediately to avoid deportation. Depends where you are and where you're from and what thoughtful of work permit you have. Why don't you ask at the correct Government department, unless you think you'll...
