You hold to submit documents on request of CIC only and not at your whim.
bg b is right. There is a timeline you have to follow when you submit your paperwork.

My husband is Canadian. He drove across the border from Vancouver, BC. We got married, which have to be done within a certain number of days of his entry... not too soon and not too far out. Then we did all the paperwork for his green card. Of course, he couldn't work here contained by the U.S. the whole time we were going through it, but he finally did get his green card, social protection card and driver's license.

No, you don't have to do your medical exam in Canada. You can do it here but it has to be perform by an authorized doctor.

We used an immigration lawyer to help us with the unbroken thing and I'm glad we did. It was not an easy entity to go through. Worth it in the end, but I wouldn't want to do it again.
its doesnt matter when you did them,
but it would enjoy been best if the medical was the LAST thing you did beforehand you submit your application.
this is because all medicals are valid for 1 year and when that year expires, you MAY be asked to do another medical. CIC has the discretion to bring in that decision.

It is cheaper to do medicals in Canada. There is NO set excise and prices range from $100 to $350.

For family class applications, you must submit everything. You DO NOT wait to be contacted. That is merely for SKILLED worker applications from outside of Canada. . Source(s): PR in Canada - BTDT.
