You are simply a typical american who has not yet figured out that purely because your browser says it is //answers.yahoo.com - then only inhabitants from your country can ask and answer.
my browser actually says //ca.answers.yahoo.com and I live in Canada.
You're surrounded by the US section. Scroll to the bottom and you find more countries. In other websites, there's websites for different countries. Say Youtube, for example. youtube.com is by default the US. youtube.kr is youtube korea, youtube.mx youtube mexico, and so forth. If it is pathetic... why are you here?
And yes.. it is a world broad web, and many of the people contained by the world are trying to stop moochers from coming to their country, lying about their status, and collecting billions in welfare.
