Unlike the US, I don't think UK immigration requires you to claim any money you bring into the country, regardless of how much it is. I think the US requires you to declare $5000 or more brought into the country in money or money equivalents (eg. bearer bonds). If you're planning to bring that generous of money into the UK, I'd recommend preparing a document that shows that the money is legally yours from legal sources. Then I'd voluntarily declare it by going through the Red Channel. If customs merely find the money, you might face a lot of questions to prove that you've get nothing to do with money laundering. you dont affirm anything ti immigration, just cumstoms. they have nothing to do next to each other!
It may be easier to transfer it from a overseas bank to a UK edge. ******* HELL
