How are immigrant treated today compared to the emergence stages of immigration?

answer with up 4 or 5 sentences
Answers:
Now - they get many things for nought and they can be very irresponsible if they choose. Luckily most immigrants are productive citizens. They get free translations, food stamps, housing, WIC, welfare, $10,000 a year public school, etc. If they work hard and make a lot of money they receive to pay a lot of taxes to pay for these programs.

Then - You get nothing. No schooling for you or your kids. No medical unless you could pay in full. No food unless you worked. No housing unless you built it or compensated for it. You did get an opportunity to keep almost everything you made because there be virtually no taxes.

I think the pendulum has swung to far to the left.

Immigrants who moved out toward the west were treated the same, generally as they treated the ancestors who had lived here for centuries. The immigrants killed abundantly of the previous population and made them move to reservations or internment camps.
