Yeah the background check sucks. I hold a friend who was the victim of a robbery when he was 18. He get shot in the stomach and now he is 27 and they won't let him become a citizen.
They claim it is still lower than investigation of possible gang-related shootings even though he has NOTHING to do with gangs. It's so tough to obtain citizenship, plus they keep raising the prices every year so less empire can afford it
