Can i catch a green card if my husband is individual a green card holder?

I am planing to get married. My boyfriend has a green card that he received more than one year ago through family reunion. He is divorced. He come here with his ex-wife (she was the one that actually reunited next to her family) but after a while after coming here they got divorced. He is now on a green card and we would like to get hold of married. I am already in the US. Can I get a green card after getting married , even if he is not a citizen yet?
Answers:
No, you cannot procure a green card if you marry a green card holder boyfriend. Not right away.

He can file the I-130 petition on your behalf, and you will have to wait for your priority date to become current (5-7 years) or until he naturalize in order for you to apply for permanent residency (green card). This is assuming that you come to USA legally on a visa. Source(s): www.uscis.gov
