Hello, the original processing time is the right one..=3 years from august 2005.
I know that you are probably getting impatient, understandably, but you are almost finished so droop in there..my immigration took almost 4 years so anyone who gets contained by quicker, I consider lucky.
If you have a sponsor in Canada they can go to their local MP and request that your directory be looked into on their behalf. This way you can actually see where the processing is and if at hand are any problems needing to be resolved. GOOD LUCK
It depends on what category - BUT assuming you applied under skilled worker category - it is generally taking more or less 6 years.

Past processing times may NOT indicate the length of time it will take to finalize applications in the adjectives.

New Delhi currently taking between 63 and 72 months.

If you applied in 2005 then you can expect to get a response sometime around unsettled 2210 and early 2011

if you want to know what the hold up is you can apply for your CAIPS notes.

here are a few places that may be able to serve you.

The processing time is the current one. I wouldn't reccommend claiming refugee status while waiting for your residency to be approved. Your refugee claim will be denied, you will be deported and then you will never get residency. It is better to come and claim refugee status. You make more money doing it too.
