I am a US GC holder and will be eligible for citizenship contained by 2010 Feb. If apply for a 1 year workvisa to canada
will it hamper my citizenship process. My company immigration lawyer thinks that It might create a problem within my citizenship processing as I will be showing an intent to stay out of US for a longer period of time (more than 6 months). Is it the intent that makes a problem or not staying in US for 180 days within every year till I get my citizentship?
But actually I will be in canada for 5 months and will be rear legs to US, so that I will be maintaining my status.
