What is required to become an Immigration Services Officer ISO?
Hi everyone.
I have determined what I want to do with my life and own always wanted to work for the uscis.gov. The thing is i don't know what is required to get your hands on a gs-12 job like ISO. So far I have capable the following.
I am a senior pursuing a BA political science degree. Fluent in spanish and taking french. have worked for a chiro for 2 years and hold worked 3 years with fujifilm in a desk job.
once graduate I would like to go to law institution and earn a JD emphasis in immigration law. ALthough I don't want to practice statute i want to know everything there is. If not a jd aka law degree after a master in something with politics.
is this enough to apply for a ISO profession or is there more that i have to do.
so here is the time line
pick up BA in political science
maybe apply for a border patrol job while working fro my master or jd scope
once i get my masters or jd I will try to apply for an Immigration Services Officer job
is that a full proof plan?
