do they have to pay taxes to enter canada? and can they run in parlament?
Answers:
No TAX to enter Canada as immigrant but u reward as soon as u start to work in Canada. U can only run Parliament (Elections) once u acquire Canadian Nationality.
There used to be a "head tax" to enter Canada for some groups. Now at hand are just immigration fees. Only citizens can vote or hold public office in Canada. no taxes to come, know in the order of law but if you're naturalized citizen why not
