Green cards are issued to allow legal ongoing residents to live primarily in the US, so, if you get your card and take stale immediately to go back home for 11 months and 29 days, you could experience problems getting stern in. If you stay out for more than a year, you definitely won't get fund in.

The only exception to that is... if you got that greencard thru asylum and youre planning on going fund to the country you ran away from...that may be a problem if the immigration officer you get at port of entry is educated and strict once you obtain your green card you are free to travel. you cant go back to live somewhere else but you can visit, no longer than a year. i be told its not good to be gone for more than 6 months.
