H1c to immigrant visa by bridal?

I'm an H1C holder currently working here in US and my employer hasn't applied for the adjustment of my status yet from H1C to immigrant. Now, I have plan to marry an immigrant visa holder (not a US citizen). Is it possible that I can enjoy an adjustment of status from H1C to immigrant by marriage? If yes, what can we do to apply for an adjustment? How long will it take and what are the procedures to obtain the adjustment?
Answers:
No. If you marry a Green Card holder you will be contained by Family 2A preference. There's a quota for that preference and right now it's taking around 5 and 1/2 years for a visa to become available.

If you married an American Citizen you'd be IR (Immediate Relative) and there's no quota for that preference. This would be the only thing that allows you to adjust status.

After your wedding your Green Card spouse should file I-130 for you with the USCIS. You can remain in the United States ONLY as long as your H1C visa is suitable. If it expires or is canceled BEFORE your I-130 becomes current you'll have to LEAVE and wait within your own country.
