What are the probability of self caught contained by the U.S for one an dishonest immigrant?
What are the chances of my girlfriend and I going to America from England, getting a job etc. etc. and just living over surrounded by the U.S without a visa or anything as such, and actually getting caught, I've spoke to a few people from the U.S who live contained by England now and they said slim to none, they know plenty of people who've done it and still are over there to this daylight, been living there for about 20 years. So is it potential we'd get caught or not? By the way if it makes a difference we are white English, born and bred, mothers mothers mothers and father fathers fathers and so on, are all born and bred English too!

low/high whatever may be the chances, if u r caught its gruesome, why take chances, if u r planing to do that, don't do it, go on some visa, find a US gf, marry her and become a official immigrant. Be loyal to her and to the country :-)

They will never catch you. The only illegal immigrant they care about is Mexicans. White people catch to live here illegally and its okay.
Chances are slim but don't give attention to that it will be an easy life. Illegal immigrants don't enjoy the proper documents to work legally in this country (obviously) so they are only competent to find labor work and therefore don't make much money. I know several immigrants who hold college degree in their countries that are here cleaning toilets for a living. Usually they come illegally because it is nearly impossible to get working visas contained by their country (trust me, nobody is illegal by choice).

I be in the US for 3 years doing bar work after a 4 year stint working traveling around India and places. The secret is to bring to know someone you can trust and don't tell many people you are working illegitimately. You can get work in bars and restaurants but as a rule I never stayed within one place too long. I worked my way through LA to Vegas where I stayed for 14 months before going to NY. When asked by anyone I said my mother have a US passport. There are many illegal workers in California for the most part Hispanics so you can blend in easier their and employers are more used to turning a blind eye to illegals indeed many of them depend on them. Word of alert have some kind of medical insurance - an ambulance to the hospital when I had a kidney stone cost me $800 never mind the $7000 bill for treatment. Yes, you can come here easily enough on a tourist visa and overstay without getting caught for awhile, but eventually you are going to requirement a driver's license and a job, both will require paperwork that you don't have and it will make it drastically difficult for you to survive.
The type of work and housing you'll be able to get without paperwork isn't going to be top characteristic, but if you are happy with substandard pay and crappy housing surrounded by the poorest neighborhoods you can probably get away with it for a few years before getting busted.
