If my mum's born England and I contained by Canada how difficult is it to become a citizen of England?

I am currently a naturalized U.S. citizen.

You would need to dance back to before the Union of the Parliaments in 1707. England as surrounded by a separate administrative state has not existed since then.
Like any other country in the world, it pretty much depends on what you have to set aside. Most countries operate some kind of points-based system as to what people they need and what skills they enjoy. Trained professionals like doctors, teachers and dentists usually score significantly, as do people in trades such as electricians and plumbers. People in unskilled encyclopaedia labour don't score as well. No-one can really right to be heard how easy or difficult it will be for you to gain entry or citizenship to the UK (you can't be a citizen of England) unless they know your circumstances. Whether an English mother will help or hinder your application, I couldn't speak. Personally I think you'd be better off in Canada or the USA. The cost of living here is like mad higher than you would be used to. Why chop and change?
As your mother was born here it should be quite trouble-free to become citizen of the UK but you will have to give up your US citizenship
You should be able to claim dual nationality if your mum was born surrounded by the UK. You would be able to hold a British passport as well as a US one.

At any rate, you will have the right to live and work contained by the UK through an Ancestry Visa:

If your mom was born contained by England it's entirely possible that you already are a British citizen by decent. You would not need to give up your U.S. citizenship because you would hold been a UK citizen from birth - and they allow dual-citizenship there. If you qualify for it, all you would entail to do is apply for a British passport. :-)
For starters, I think you have to live within England if you don't...You probably have to go through something like you did to become a Naturalized US citizen...Be aware you will grant up your US citizenship!
If you were born outside the United Kingdom before 1 January 1983

If you be born outside the United Kingdom before 1 January 1983, you became a British citizen if, immediately in the past that date, you were a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies and had the right of abode in the United Kingdom.

You may hold had citizenship of the United Kingdom and Colonies by descent from a father who had that citizenship, or because you were registered or naturalised as a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies.

If you enjoy a passport issued before 1 January 1983 that describes you as a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies on page 1, you will almost certainly have become a British citizen on 1 January 1983 as long as page 5 say 'Holder has the right of abode in the United Kingdom'.

However, if you had the right of abode because you be registered under the British Nationality (No2) Act 1964, you will not normally have become a British citizen on 1 January 1983 unless your mother become a British citizen then.

You may have had right of abode if:

you be adopted, naturalised or registered as a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies in the United Kingdom (except in consistent circumstances);
you had been legally settled contained by the United Kingdom and ordinarily resident there for five years; or
when you were born, you had a parent who be a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies because he/she was born, adopted, naturalised or registered in the United Kingdom (except surrounded by certain circumstances), or because one of your grandparents was.
If you were born outside the United Kingdom on or after 1 January 1983

This subsection also applies to you if you were born outside a qualifying territory on or after 21 May 2002 and have a parent who was a British citizen.

Whether or not you are a British citizen depends on the type of citizenship your parents had. This may be British citizenship by descent or otherwise than by descent.

British citizenship may descend to one generation born out of the country. So if you were born outside the United Kingdom or qualifying territory and one of your parents be a British citizen otherwise than by descent, you are a British citizen by descent. If you were born before 1 July 2006 you may not qualify if your parents were not married at the time of your birth.

However, you are a British citizen otherwise than by descent if at the time of your birth one of your parents be a British citizen in Crown service, designated service, or service of a European Community institution and he/she was recruited to that service:

contained by the United Kingdom;
in the United Kingdom or a qualifying territory (if you be born on or after 21 May 2002); or
in the European Community (for service with a European Community institution).
If you were born outside the United Kingdom or qualify territory and your parents were British citizens by descent, you are not a British citizen. However, you may be able to apply to register as a British citizen (see registration of a child).

You do NOT hold to give up your US citizenship! Source(s): http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/britis…
It depends on your father. At the time of your birth was your father a british citizen. If so your entitled to a british passport which means your a british citizen.
you wont need anything to come in this country they just undo up the doors and say come right don't need papers or money or anything because they give you adjectives that to and a house this is the free country were everyone who comes here gets given everything on a plate and people who are atually british can gain squat all
It should be very flowing for you as your are entitled to BRITISH nationality through your mother. Just apply. My children were born abroad but still hold British nationality through me Source(s): experience
You can't become a citizen of England, as it doesn't exist as a sovereign state. You can try to become a citizen of the United Kingdom.
very not easy as this is the united kingdom

How tricky is it for a Mexican citizen to come to the US and rightfully work?
Many American and many Mexicans would like to live their lives happily together and enter into the transaction of exchanging labor for money. I'm wondering how strong it is to get the US government to leave one alone surrounded by this very human transaction. Very difficult....
