Are you born within a country and living surrounded by an other country?

I moved this year from the Netherlands (where I am born) to Guatemala.

Where are you born, and where do you live?
Do you miss the country where you are born? And what do you miss or what absolutely not?

Resolved Questions:
Which moving situation would be easier?
I live in Canada. My girlfriend lives in the U.S. Would it be easier for her to move to Canada or for me to move to the U.S.? They'd be about alike. The mover would need to get the right visas from the new country, and eventually apply for Permanent Resident status. Move to whereever both of you...
