I'm an American who skilled contained by Canada for 20 years. Can I live within Canada?

I moved back to the States some years ago, but my son lives in B.C. I am 62 and collecting pension from Quebec. I want to move close to my son and work contained by B.C. Do I have to go through the application and wait time to move wager on to Canada even though I'm a senior? Will I be eligible for health benefits?

You need to immigrate again. To get a temporary work travel document, you need to get a job proposal. Employer applies for labour market opinion and work voucher. You can look into if you can get a NAFTA visa. Your son could also sponsor you if he is a PR or citizen but it takes a long time.

If you are in BC on a work authorization, you are covered by health care. If you are there as a guest, no.

You would probably have to apply again for permanent resident status and be sponsored by your son. That will take time but your years contained by Canada will likely be an expediting factor. Look into a temporary resident permit, it's solely good for 6 months but can be renewed. That was what was recommended when I inquired in the region of bringing my mother-in-law to Canada. This temporary permit would not make you eligible for form benefits.
Unless you acquired landed immigrant status you will hold to reapply. Once you are a Canadian again you will be eligible for regular benefits.
Probably. I suggest you contact your nearest Canadian consulate and get the true story.
