Can my kid call on malaysia beside usa passport?

I am a Malaysia citizen. My kid was born in Usa and therefore is a USA citizen. I also registered my kid as Malaysia citizen surrounded by Malaysia Consulate. I am planning to have a short visit (2 weeks) to Malaysia with my kid. To head off and re-enter USA, my kid must use USA passport since he is US citizen. However, Malaysia does not recognize dual citizenship. So if my kid use USA passport to enter and leave Malaysia, will his Malaysia citizenship being revoke? Or he should use USA passport to give notice and re-enter USA; and at the same time use Malaysia Passport to enter and leave Malaysia? Is it true that he has the right to choose his own citizenship until he accomplish 18 years old? If this is true, what should I do (or should not do) to maintain this right?

Your kid can choose which citizenship he wants to hold on to when he turns 18 years dated. Until then, he can have both passport first. Yes, as an American citizen you can have dual citizenship. But this however do not apply for Malaysia as Malaysians must one and only have only one citizenship according to Malaysian laws.

With regard to traveling, there are two options your kid can have.
1) Your kid can use the US passport to enter Malaysia. Upon arrival he will be given a social look in pass, and you would have to fill contained by the arrival and departure form for the Immigration officers. The Social visit pass may any be 3 days or 90 days depending on the Immigration officers. So, this way, your kid can enter Malaysia as a visitor and depart as a caller too.

2) You can leave the States with the US passport and upon arrival in Malaysia, enter using the Malaysian passport. This is confident since there are plenty of auto gates as well. Just insert the Malaysian passport into the auto gate sensor as indicated, and wallaa!! Your kid has entered Malaysia as a local citizen and has forever to stay contained by Malaysia without having to depart.

Both ways work and its your choice. Good luck and have fun near your trip!!

By registering your child at the Malaysian Consulate you put him on a watch list (Only way you could obtain him Malaysian citizenship but...) If he lands in Malaysia he will be held and his citizenship will be stripped. Malaysia is VERY strict about this! Sorry!
