will getting convicted of a traffic misdemanor for fail to stop for police or disobeying police officer involve moral turpitude under immigration law for naturalization purposes.. the cost is a fine of 100 dollars.. in massachusetts... will they weigh my employment, credit and education in former 5 years against this crime..will it be a temporary bar... or permanent public house to my citizenship... or is it deportable
Answers:
Do not even worry about it. It is a misdemeanor traffic violation which surrounded by no way will affect your application for a US citizenship. It is not even a deportable offense, far from it.
Offenses that are frowned upon by the law and immigration are felony cases such as murder, rape, arson, robbery, etc. Heinous or serious crimes that affect the moral fiber of society are felony crimes.
Actually, when you are set for interview with the USCIS you are asked to bring proofs of crimes that you own committed that of course have been prosecuted by the imperative or have gone through the legal system even those that were dismissed. You are asked not to bring next to you traffic violations or traffic related offenses.
I hope you feel better already.
Misdemeanor doesn't effect your citizenship application. Only heavy conviction crime will stop you from becoming a citizen and assure deportation.
