Visa Question Oman/US/Japan?
Alright, kind of a complicated question here...this summer I'll be a student doing foreign exchange for a year in Japan. Right immediately I'm studying in the US and my passport is a US Passport. However, this summer before going to Japan I am going to stay with my familial in Oman, and then fly from Oman to Japan.
The problem is that my certificate of eligibility to bring a Student Visa will not come until this summer when I'm in Oman. I can't enter Japan unless I get it, or else I'll be issued a tourist visa and I'll hold to leave the country to change it. So my question is, even though I enjoy a US passport and will be in Oman on a tourist visa, will I be able to use my certificate of eligibility and catch my student visa to go to Japan through the Japan-Oman Consulate?
