Applying for OPT... question... gratitude?

I'm a international student... and i have a friend that is a international student to... she told me that she has be working without her OPT for almost 2 years now... and when she is done with her college she is going to apply for the OPT so she can work for 12 months... she told me to do the some> But i'm afraid that when you apply for the OPT they will discover that you be working without the OPT before....
Do You think they are competent to find out that you were working without the OPT... or they don't care, as long you own your SS# and you pay your taxes??
They will give her the 12 months OPT qith no problem??

It more or less depends on the amount of money she made. An international student is allowed to work up to 20 hours on campus. If the amount of money made appears to be more than a party would make by working 20 hrs on campus they are supposed to check. Most of the time it slips by but if someone bothers to check it's deportation and a 10 year ban.
somehow some people slip through the cracks... I have friends who did also... but I would never have risked it... the problems you face doing that are worse than what you get remunerated in my opinion... you may work on campus and get approval to work off campus from your school if you need the money which is completely separate from OPT... however, they probably don't check your employment amazingly much when you apply, but you may be that random person they do check and they deport for working illegally...
