What happens when you report someone to immigrations?

You will be called a narc and be hated and win beat up. They take them back to where on earth they came from.
The same thing that happens when you report a fire ... someone investigates the claim unless there is evidence proving it is false.
Immigration offenses aren't immensely high on the list of crimes as far as law enforcement go, so don't expect lights and sirens to converge on anyone seconds after hanging up the phone. There won't be any any helicopters, or SWAT vans, or other bombast.
