Visa interview predicament...needhelp pls? post (ii)?
UK Resident here..
US student visa appointment confirmed today but the earliest possible date I got will only leave exactly 2 weeks for the embassy to work next to.The university requires me to attend orientation, but having a past OWI within the states during my undergrad, It's rumoured that this could take up to 45 days before the embassy can issue me a visa. (perhaps the Alcohol evaluation?) I am thinking about calling subsidise next week to see if there is a possbible earlier date.
This is a bit of a predicament and I warmth any advice or suggestions please.
Thanks!

requires or recomends/expects ?
Call the university admissions and discuss,
explain that your visa is anyone delayed and maybe late from the US embassy.
if it is a requirement, ask if some personal/alternate arrangement can be made... or that you commit to attending the next available one.
In practice, you will be the one who have to ask a bit more from fellow students for things that would have been in teh position..but no great hardship (I am sure there are those that wont be listening !)
0.5p/min to the US...

2) as you are doing, see if at hand is a cancellation/earlier date available or express process
3) At the end of the interview, explain that you are due at the orientation, and if possible can teh visa be issued speedily /can they advise when it will be available ?
thats about your lot...
start classes in the spring, near will be an orientation just the same as for the tumble
Resolved Questions:
Immigration lawyer- UK?
Does anyone know of a good or can recommend a good Immigration lawyer surrounded by England? There are no GOOD lawyer in England only greedy ones Immigration lawyers are rodents who exploit the tenet costing our country a fortune and ensuring we are swamped with immigrants. Where about in England.
