Should Immigration into America Be Stopped Completely?
this is a topic in my Ap Us class and I was picked for the Pro group....it would be helpful to chronicle key points to help persuade that it may be a correct idea...

America have finite space and resources. We can only support so many people.
There are redundant American citizens. As long as there are unemployed American citizens, there should be no immigration for employment purposes.
America is for Americans. We entail to take of our citizens first.
No. Immigration is one of the reasons the US population is still growing. It's one of the reasons our median age is lower than other developed nation. Countries need young people - they do the work and generate the taxes. If the population get too far out of balance (ie many more seniors than young workers) it's difficult to uphold the economy. Immigration is also one of the ways our universities remain competitive - we can attract the best and the brightest students and researchers from around the world. This in turn feed our history of groundbreaking research and product development.

Seems to me, we let within too many who are nothing but grunt laborers. I'd like to see heaps more skilled people.
Also, currently we let in 50% Mexicanos. I'd similar to to see that number become proportionate to all the other kinds of people on the planet that want citizenship.

Our population will be 4 times as many as we have NOW if current level are maintained within the next 15 years. All of the unmarked people will be immigrants. Out of every 4 people, 3 will be recent immigrant.

Notice how "certain" immigrant groups try to use Spanish to break down communication?
Also that attitude about how they do everything, and the Americans who be here had nothing to do with the nation development. And yet a country did develop; immigrants help to maintain it, but they had little to do with our country human being the super-power it is today. (cleaning hotel rooms and you came across a renewable fuel source?)

Yes. There are a billion reasons. Cultural decay, balkanization of solid groups. Right now, even legal immigration should be stopped until we get this point under control.
it should be allowed to the right people, citizens who will contribute to the country, abide by its laws and its way of life, because if the country accept to let you in, you should accept to live by its agency of life, if not dont come, why should a family dance through so many stages to be accepted into a country by making sure they have upright education, good well mortal,when a couple just jump on a boat and come into the country, obtain refugee status and later in a couple of months, gain citizenship and not give a damn no, it should be restricted to skills and employability based on wants as in Nursing, Sciences, Tech fields.... but not to subsidize cheap farm labor.... not solitary does our government prop up farms in aid and subsidies, the governing body turns a blind eye to illegal immigrants that barely earn a substancial income.... it is no wonder these job are hard to fill at the wages offered only desperate disadvantaged population will accept the terms.
