Actually the illegal immigration is slowing down a bit because of the poor economy. But I know what you connote, there are still a lot of them here. The government does zilch much about it, either.
But why blame them? They are just trying to earn a fully clad living like all of us. It is the feds that are to blame for not enforcing the immigration law. I do agree though that they know that they are breaking the law and that is not a good start when coming to another country. You can blame them for that!

Good question. They moan and groan something like it but I don't see them going home. It's like they think they have rights or are entitled to like peas in a pod things that U.S. citizens have access too. What a joke. We need to treat them so much worse approaching no jobs, free education, no renting of apts., etc...

They keep coming because they are not being punished habitually enough for their crime of illegal entry, they obviously believe they are above the statute and need to be reminded that it applies to them as well.

Good question. I don't think we mistreat them in any channel. Just because we want them to be here legally does not mean they are being mistreated, and they necessitate to wake up. They wouldn't like it if we all go to their country and demanded equal rights from them. They should have enough sense to know that they just can't waltz into our country and gain everything they want on a silver platter, but it seems like they have more rights and find more benefits than our own citizens do. They shouldn't get free medical, dental, etc. - we don't. Those are my thoughts. I don't understand how they can say they are mistreated.
