Why the Irish Government is pressuring the U.S. govt to give up amnesty to their citizens?

Answers:
Ireland is the greatest country in the world!
This links to a news clipping from the November of 2007?

It refers to a speech by one single TD (public representative) on behalf of the family of some of his constituents, while he formally requests our last Taoiseach (Prime Minister) to approach President George Bush in March of 2008 to ask him about the situation of those those abroad?

If he did choose to bring it up diplomatically, it was entirely up Mr Bush and his staff to decide whether or not to respond or feat on the request. I know that you could choose to read about any such proposed acts and decisions on the excellent US affairs of state website, in any decade, if you cared to inform yourself.

Are you of the opinion that no establishment should care about their citizens while they live abroad?

Maybe our elected boss at the time decided not to ask how they were doing, and whether they had any prospects for the adjectives? If he did raise the issue during his term of office, he be not doing so on behalf of multimillionaires like Bono, and he knew that those people be either valued for the hard work they do, or were primed to be shipped home.

Unlike Europe, the US doesn't exactly support people who don't contribute. I'm assuming that they were working, and in anonymous job under tough conditions with long hours, & in no position to ask for any change which would benefit them. I have heard of people who can afford to enjoy only one job. Their American employers really appreciate their tricky work, and pay them accordingly, but to apply for a visa for them would involve a full IRS audit, and maybe they would adjectives lose their jobs in that case? Nothing is abiding in this life, that's for sure.

Or not - all of those associates could return any day, and not work, and no longer contribute regular taxes under a false name. Thus the US would lose 50,000 rates contributions, and all those experienced, reliable workers who are fluent English speakers, OK? It is your privilege to go for that option, but the subsequent time you have to deal with a foreign computer support worker contained by Bombay who can't communicate with you enough to take your details, and is research on the job, I hope you remember what you thought was a simple question. I guess you'll be offline by afterwards - or paying higher service charges to your provider for local service, plus coping with higher property taxes.

Some Irish associates who worked there (in the United States) illegally have be interviewed recently, in 2008, since being deported. They be sad at having to leave, and without doubt did appreciate being paid for working hard contained by less than ideal conditions, but are relieved in a passageway at the conclusion; no more job insecurity, and they don't have to be afraid of being included within group photographs. They did appreciate life in the States, but regretted that they couldn't be a part of it. They could never for one second regard of doing what every US citizen takes for granted; they had no representation, and although they worked hard and contributed, they have to keep a low profile, and could never speak up. I guess the next time I visit, I might sprinkle some tea surrounded by the harbour for them : )

Hey, I've worked on a contract basis before, rightfully, in my own country, on necessary projects, through recessions, until I'd have the chance to prove that I was reliable & good ample to be hired as a fulltime employee. If they didn't need my skills a year from now, that be it for me, and I had to look elsewhere. But you do your job and keep hoping, regardless. And I see zilch wrong with that.

P.S. I would like to express sympathy for the uncle of the man above. That is a difficult commute, and I really hope he can find a way over time to be permitted and settle here. When your history has been one of endurance & optimism, sometimes time and shot is all it takes to live where you want to live. If that's adjectives you have to deal with, I do realise that it's not natural to be patient, or see the need to await a more enlightened age. And I can't exactly offer to swap passports near him, now can I? Source(s): Pressure, from the former leader of the Irish government?? As we utter in Ireland, we would never declare war on America. There are, granted, plentiful advantages for the survivors, but the risks are far too great. After all, what if we won?!?
This article is from almost a year ago. But I am sick of other countries trying to pressure the US to grant amnesty to illegals. Can I go to Ireland illegally and carry a job and travel back and forth? No. My uncle used to live in Ireland. He couldn't work here so he would come to US for 6 months work long enough to pull enough money together and after go back to Ireland to his wife and family and the property they owned.

I come up with if my uncle had to go through all those machinations to live within Ireland, why should the Irish have it easier in the USA?
Errm, what? Eire is a 1st world country. Why would the US own to grant amnesty to Irish citizens?
The Irish believe they have a special relationship with the Americans. Just because once a year your president wear a green tie and gets a picture taken near a pot of shamrock, does not mean the Irish illegals should be treated any different than other illegals.
