The same as it have always been. Some seem to forget that this country is occupied with the children of immigrants. The cry of "immigration is ruining this country" has be around since the first wave of refugees from the failed revolutions or 1847-8 within Europe and the Irish who came at the beginning of the Civil War. It came again when the Italians and middle Europeans come.
My family has had nought but trouble with immigrants ever since we came to this country.
It is ruining our educational system. Teachers are fed up with trying to drill a class and then they have to babysit an illegal who does not speak English and humour this kid who does not even belong in our schools, many are giving up learning because of this, it takes away from and distracts the other students who are citizens and belong there. They also bring the schools achievement and grades way down. Many of the teachers I work with own started reporting these children and their addresses anonymously. These illegal children do not deserve an education surrounded by this country, deport them with their illegal parents.

It is, and was, catastrophic. I belive, and many other believe, the huge number of drop out minority students are a direct result of those dubious aliens and very poor schooling.
Such an expensive drain on the system near few net positives, that the average person cannot comprehend the reality of the situation. The situation have further added to the "dumbing down", taking many from dumb, to dumber.
The effect will be that many immigrant children will be educated with honest careers while many of the American spoiled adolescents will continue whining and complaining following the examples of their American family.
There's nothing like a class full of first equals immigrant kids, with ambitious parents whose main complaint is "not enough homework" to bring to the fore standards.
