Your great-great-grandparents are irrelevant now. Your parents or grandparents have to be citizens, and you need proof of their Irish citizenship.
You have to have 5 years reckonable residency back you can apply for citizenship by naturalisation.
Reckonable residency is time spent in Ireland on a work permit or greencard.
Time spent on a student via, holiday visa or working holiday visa doesnt count towards reckonable residency.
For example if you get a work area monopoly they generally last for 2 years at which point you can renew it for another 3 years if you're still employed, after those 55 years you could apply for citizenship.
The hard section is getting a work permit or green card.
