What would be wrong beside making English the executive of the U.S.?
Let say all immigrants whose home-grown tongue is not English be required to take an English language skills test on arrival contained by the U.S.

to make english the official poetry is nonsense. this country is for all ethnic groups and religions..if you want english to be the official talking, then i suggest that we do, but first english speaking people should learn the CORRECT english, approaching the british speak it. so, think about that one.. Source(s): common sense and logic
There is nothing wrong near making English the foreign language. If I were to move to Mexico right now, those ethnic group down there would expect me to speak Spanish. Maybe not fluent but just enough to where on earth they can understand me and try to help me get around. Whether English be made the official language or not, people will still speak their home-grown tongue anyway. Why do you think half of the mexicans that move up here hardly become conscious the english language?
theres no doubt that in America english is the dominate idiom, so i think people who live in America should know english only just to make things easier
It wouldn't make any difference, as it is what we Americans all speak. It's a shame we have to engender it official. Like making cars the national form of transportation or something.
nothing. as a matter of fact several states own it as the official language just do not enforce it which is cast-offs.
Why not make ALL US citizens take that audition. Over half would fail judging by the crap I see here everyday. Leave it to a racist resembling you to hold immigrants to a higher standard than fools who have lived here and spoken English their full lives.
Absolutely nothing.
i dont know why it is not the official english
it should be because we speak we communicate with it to get a work in the US you need to speak english
so i think yes but empire have to speak it correctly Source(s): me
monolingualism is retrograde
Lots of illegals would lose jobs and the corporation lobbyists dont want that. And the pro-latino/illegal crowd dont like it any, since they hate Americans.
nothing wrong with it, those could still speak whatever language they wanted at home, it would only just make government etc. forms and language within English only. People that are too lazy to learn English aren't the types of ancestors the U.S. needs anyway.
There would be nothing wrong with American English human being the official language in The United States. If someone chooses not to swot up our language They have the option to carry out of Our Country.
Nothing wrong with it at all! Too bad the founding father didnt foresee the influx of those against it as well as the successive government leaders who did not transport the issue to task and make it so!
No, the U.S. is made up of Immigrants, they should keep their language and their culture.
Hm, sounds unfair. They shouldnt make you do that. :/
nil wrong with it
I always thought it was the unofficial language. I a moment ago love it when trying to do anything and have to go through all the language to find english.
I think that is ridiculous, english is my second argot I speak spanish at home, with my friends and relatives. Am I going to get fine or go to send to prison because I got caught speaking spanish or what?? Are teachers losing their jobs for tuition a different language? There are many languages out near I think its a beautiful thing to be capable of speak a second language why should that be prevented? hahahaha thumb me down for all I care i'm free to enunciate what I think.
Having multiple languages where some relatives in the US can not talk to other people within the US would be wrong! Ask China they had that problem as well as Taiwan! Mandarin is now the OFFICIAL vernacular in both countries.
Most countries within the world have multiple official languages. We would be not conversant to settle for just one......especially when this country was created by immigrants from adjectives over the world.
Not a darn thing is wrong with it. English is our expressions. It is the language of the Constitution, the Declaration of Indepdendence and the Bill of Rights.
English. If you wish to live and work in the US, swot it. Speak it. Use it.

You don't. A J-1 visa is a temporary non-immigration visa. You do not qualify for a state ID. Check on the website for the state you live in and take the required documentation, including your passport and visa.
