Would you still support police to enforce immigration law if.....?
you were fingerprinted, strip-searched, and sent to the inmate intake area because a deputy thought you were an unsanctioned immigrant? Would you still support police to enforce immigration laws? Have they taken advantage of their power to do so?
Answers:
Yes I would. They would quickly find out that I am a citizen. No I don't think they are using satisfactory of their pwoer to do so. Honest answer.
i won't slouch, i'd be pissed, but i believe that it would be no different if they searched my house, and found nothing. As long as what they're going is legal, i'm ok next to it. If they're enforcing the laws of this country i'm ok with it. I would be pissed if i have to go through the whole process of being detained, but contained by the cosmic sense, it's only a temporary inconvience
Yes I would, within a heart beat. We all have to do our member to rid this country of all illegals. If your legal then you should not mind. Carry an I.D. on you at adjectives times.a legal I.D and not one from the mexican consulate, that is a dead hand over away.
You betcha! Since I can speak English without an accent, I don't own to worry about being mistaken for an forbidden alien. And, oh yeah, I don't carry a Mexican flag and wave it during immigration rallies!
HELL NO! that's a job for the Immigration Officers, not Police.
It's a Federal Job.
yes.
i have been strip searched at the airport because i didn't formulate it through the metal detector on the third try, but i still like the tsa to be diligent in keeping our air travel somewhat secure.
No. But please do not expect honesty, it is easy to time ones chest and proclaim it is ok when the odds of it happening to them are zero. Since just dark skins are confronted they know they have a pass. My friend who is dusk skinned Hispanic was approached in a strip mall. She be not arrested but she did not take kindly to being asked for a green card which she does not hold. She was born in Yuma Arizona, why on earth would she?
I believe that is the standard practice for all criminals - no situation what laws they are breaking.
It pays to hire an attorney.
The police have their priorities set by law, to protect and serve the citizens surrounded by their jurisdiction, With all the criminals on the loose and organized crime operating all over the US. They need to stick to the responsibility for which they be formed, fighting crime.
Immigration law has its own enforcement unit that have been increased drastically the last couple of decades, they are trained to do their charge.
Maricopa County, sheriff and his volunteers are not trained to do this job and they have lied about the ICE hold , the idiots put the principle for his detention on the booking report and then deny that was the only rationale he was detained. The fail to show valid ID was contained by his belonging that were placed in his folder of personal belongings, when he was booked.
I be born (71 years ago ) and raised in Arizona and am all to aware of the differential treatment/ nouns of Arizona police agency's.
No American Citizen should have to prove to these Keystone cops that they are U.S. Citizens, much less serve time in reformatory for the police incompetence.
I hope they file a lawsuit against the police for discrimination and false imprisonment.
I'd be much more satisfied if they would just clamp down on the border and not let the illegals contained by in the first place.
i would prefer all illegals to be removed from countries they enjoy no right to be in
too many illegals slip through the net and it is rugged if someone who is not illegal felt he was treated irrationally but i think it is unfair on everyone when illegals sneak into our countries
i'm sure if he was violated this man have a case .....
Yes on adjectives questions! My fingerprints are on file because of various occupation. I have made mistakes in life, which hold led to a strip search. And I have thought several times, the police be taking advantage of their power. All these things and I am a citizen. Why should an illegal or suspected illegal expect preferential treatment? After adjectives, they ARE here illegally, with NO right to be here and I am a citizen with birth tag in hand. Reasonable cause is a powerful tool of decree enforcement. Generally, something is done to draw attention to the individual prior to such treatment.
lol.... didnt say illegals would ask... my point was, I know I didnt care for person treated like that, especially a search. I have a cop friend and go to one of their parties with him. It disgusted me... hookers, drugs, gambling, drunken driving, you label it, they did it... everything we cant legally do, they did. I said something to him afterwards.... he just said... should've been a cop. Talk nearly taking advantage of their power.
