Australia immigration: English talking requirement for my roommate who have a Bachelor Degree within English.?
Hi. My international roommate, from Singapore, currently holds a bachelor degree in English from Goldsmith University, London. He is currently studying for his double degree (Bachelor Arts/ Bachelor Education) contained by Sydney now, and he plans to migrate to Australia. Is it possible for him to present his Bachelor in English (1st class Hons) qualification as a substitute for the English Language Requirement under the Skilled Migration Visa?

as an aussie, tolerate me just start of by saying that my japanese mate, who has a stronger aussie diction then i do and speaks better english then I do, still has to sit the english experiment to be let into univeristies becasue he isnt an australian citizen, english is his 2nd language (Even though he forgets japanese, english is his primary)......
put it this way....if your not Australia citizen and English isnt your local language (even if you speak/write perfect english and can't speak your true native verbal communication becasue you forgot it) you still have to sit the test.
I mean i know a girl from New Zealand (for the americans reading this and dont own a clue; they speak english believe it or not) she had to do the test as well when she go to Monash Univeristy
He probably should take the test anyway, because most western countries assume that if you were not born and raise in an english speaking country - you dont speak a word of the language. (very arrogant if I may say so)
Here are two examples.
I enjoy a friend here in Canada. A new immigrant like me. She be born in Hungary (hungarian father, american mother) but raised in USA by her mother. When she emigrate to Canada, Canada immigration had the GALL to tell her that she had to pilfer an IELTS test to prove her english, because she was Hungarian!
Never mind that she had ONLY attended American school and colleges, spoke fluent english with an american accent, and only go to Hungary to see her father every now and then.
She was BORN surrounded by a non-english speaking country - therefore it was ASSUMED that she did not speak english.
I was born contained by New Zealand, and I never had to take any IELTS test when I emigrate to Canada, because it was assumed that english was my native tongue (which it is) because I be born in an english speaking country. but CIC did call me on the telephone to enjoy a chat and TEST my english level that way. WHY they didnt do that with my Hungarian born friend, I shall never know.
Yes. I can buy you a dilly of an Physics Engineering Degree as we speak. Then too, for some of us,.. I would emergency you take my little ten page test which you should be able to go beyond in a blink.
Did you want the fake physics degree from one of those school you listed up there?

My boyfriend wants to travel to Miami, FL to begin his paperwork for permanent residency/citizenship and requirements to know exactly what is needed before he travels down south since we live in Tampa (i.e. criminal background dictation, birth certificate, his daughter's birth certificate, his parole, etc) I understand there's also a medical check...
My brother who have a tourist visa wishes to marry his American citizen fiancee.?
If they get married before the expiration of his 2month visa can he stay there what are the effects? can he properly stay there after the expiration of his visa? How can he legalize his stay there? Yes, if he marry her he can stay - there is more paperwork...
