Why is nearby no 'prop' roughly speaking iffy immigration?

Election08: we have pretty boring props on the ballot such as gay mariage etc

But what about one on illegal immigration (eg yes or no to amnesty), why are we never asked on this?

I live surrounded by CA, the state is severely ravaged, it is a serious issue

Because you didn't propose a statute and get enough signatures to get it on the ballot
California did try and address this issue. I believe they did it in 1992, although I might be mistaken. The proposition was very anti-illegal alien, and it be ruled unconstitutional by the US Supreme Court. California is also a liberal state, and liberals tend to want to help illegal aliens more than deport them. Therefore, when you combine the liberal stance of many voters near the federal government wanting control and the Supreme Court throwing out certain ideas, it doesn't craft it to the ballot. At least not at this point.

Truly, it's a federal issue. If you want to see action, get next to your federal legislators.
It's all about getting the Hispanic vote. Plus, if within was a vote it would show that U.S. citizens say no to amnesty and then the parliament would actually have to do something with adjectives of the illegals. That would require some work and smarts lol!
Because most Republicans and Democrats are pro-Amnesty!!

Illegal immigrants do the following:

- steal our identity
- steal our jobs
- depress wages
- steal welfare / wic
- steal healthcare
- don't assimilate
- send money out of the country
- change the American culture
If you look at the prop's on the ballet they are almost all tax increases. One of the just ones that isn't is prop 8 the save marriage vote. Most measures aren't put on by signatures gathering. Like the guardrail tax it was put on by Pancho Villar and the county board of supervisors. Most of the measures are place on the ballot by powerful politicians.
