I haven't heard that illegal immigration from Europe is a problem, have you? There's a use, you know? The Irish, Italians, Poles, et al, have to cross an ocean (among other obstacles) to get here. The Mexicans are right subsequent door, so to speak, and can get here on foot. For that reason alone they are, and will remain, a far greater problem than the few Europeans who may direct to sneak in under the radar.

I merely don't like the ones that come here to become a parasite to society. However, the real problem is with the US Government and not the populace who try to find a better life. The government throw money at the problems. The government complains that we are becoming over crowded and that population need to wait for visa numbers. It takes 10+ years to grasp an immigrant visa in some cases. The government needs to establish a standard to gain citizenship.

As I ast retract, we never had a problem with illegal Irish, Italians, Polish or the like. Now that you mention it, the Italians were model immigrants. They came and become Americans. They never asked for bilingual instruction or that things be written in Italians.
