Where is your wife from? how did she enter? if she enter legally you can adjust in country with i30/485. if she enter illegaly you must go through consular processing. Meaning you can file i30 in the us but for the rest it will be processed where on earth shes from. go to immigrate2us.net for more info
I strongly suggest you call a immigration lawyer. This is not a simple case (I-130) because your wife is already out of status. Do not record yourself. The law has been fundamentally strict on cases like it. Did you file i251 for her before she become out of status?
Most lawyers do not charge for initial consultation, and they will not turn your wife in in valise you are afraid of it. Find a good lawyer to give you a peace of mind. God bless.
You don't need an attorney. Go to the USCIS website and find the phone number where on earth you can call for information in how to go in the region of that. That's why they're there for since you will pay a hefty fee to find her green card. First, you'll have to petition for her (I-130) and together with that, you file her I-485. You enjoy to have all your previous tax returns of 3 years, artistic marriage certificate and many other documents. It's polite to be organized. If she needs to work, you can file for her Employment Authorization Document together with the above forms. The fees should be around 1500-2500 dollars depending on the work blessing and travel permission. Make copies of the documents you file and the USCIS will send you receipts of everything. Don't provide them anything original other than the marriage card they require. Read the instructions on how to fill out the forms carefully and sometimes will feel easier to capture a lawyer but it'll save you money and plus, everything is in your hand so if anything happens you know exactly what you did and can fix it rather easily in need any costs.
You should consult an immigration attorney, all depends on what status she come in with. Visit USCIS.GOV for more information. Again, the status in which she come in is very important.
