Should immigration law remain federal contained by Canada?
For a debate, we must find out why immigration should remain under federal control and not provincial control.
Answers:
I think a mix of both is best, approaching we have now. I don't see why the provinces should not be able to control their own immigration to a point. For example, if AB desires petroleum engineers for their oil sands and BC needs oceanographers or forest experts, why shouldn't they be capable of recruit their own immigrants?
On the other hand, if somebody is sponsoring their spouse or grandma or whoever and the immigration be totally dependent on the province, they would have to stay in the same province until the immigration process is through so that might not work out remarkably well. Same with general requirements for immigrant like background checks and medicals and one province get lazy and starts letting everybody in, they'd flow over to the other provinces as well. That may better be departed to the federal government.
because only quebec controls thier own immigration. otherwise all provinces own the same rules. all nations do as all right.
