My husband is from former Yugoslavia and we be married in Kentucky last year. We actually live within Virginia but couldn't marry here because he needed a social security number which he didn't have because we were still waiting on his work authorization. But we live close to 30 miles from Kentucky and were able to have a nice wedding ceremony there. I would check your local laws and determine what is needed for a marriage license. If you enjoy a social security number you should be ok wherever you are. But if not you might enjoy to find a different state to get married in. Good Luck.
