K1 Visa interview question?
Can someone give me an idea of what to expect from the interview? What sort of questions do they ask?
Answers:
How did you meet? Followed by a series of questions designed to see how ably you know your fiance.... birthday, mom's name, number of brother/sisters, where does he live/work, etc...
If your relationship is real you own nothing to worry about.
I be a K3- but he started by asking how we met and starting drawing questions from my responses. My interview was easier than I thought- I was so disturbed but he was very nice and friendly and it was basically like chatting with a new character who wanted to know more about me.
Don't be too nervous- it isn't as scary as you reason. Just be friendly, look them in the eye when answering and answer honestly.
Technically they can ask anything they similar to. What they want to know is how well do you know your fiance and how close is your relationship. Expect to be asked about his job, his home, his family connections as well as how and where you met. I was asked how in good health I got on with my future stepsons and when I answered that they be teenagers so they only grunted in response to all communication attempts the CO only just laughed. She also asked about my future mother surrounded by law but when I explained she had severe Alzheimer's there be no more questions about her.
Expect to be asked about any criminal transcript you may have and if your fiance has a criminal record you will be asked if you know around that. Genuine couples are honest with each other so you should know all the answers. Source(s): Married to an American
